Announcements for Whitsunday, June 4
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
~Acts 2:1-4 NIV

We Mourn the Loss of Bob Allison
January 6, 1927 – May 28, 2017
Bob Allison, a colonel and long-time member of Saint Martin of Tours, passed away Sunday. Our deepest prayers and condolences are with the Allison family.
“Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death,
and giving life to those in the tomb.
The Sun of Righteousness is gloriously risen,
giving light to those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death.
The Lord will guide our feet into the way of peace,
having taken away the sin of the world.”
-The Book of Common Prayer, page 500

This series offers an introduction to Christian faith, Episcopal-style, and to St. Martin of Tours. It is designed for new parishioners and visitors trying to make decisions about faith and church, and for long-time members who simply wish to expand their faith, understanding, and awareness of God. It is also a great opportunity to learn about the ministries offered at St. Martin of Tours, and how to become involved.
