Preschool art Teacher - Half day program

We are seeking a nurturing, creative Art Teacher to join our half day early childhood program serving children ages 3–5. This position focuses on introducing preschoolers to art through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and self-expression. Ideal candidates are team players who communicate effectively with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues, and create a warm, engaging learning environment that supports young children’s growth and development.

Responsibilities include:

· Teach age-appropriate art activities to children ages 3–5

· Plan and implement creative, hands-on lessons that encourage exploration and self-expression

· Foster a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment

· Introduce children to a variety of art materials, techniques, and sensory experiences

· Collaborate with teaching teams to integrate art into broader classroom themes and activities

· Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities

· Prepare, organize, and maintain art materials, supplies, and classroom displays

· Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety

· Follow all state licensing guidelines and program policies

· Participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities

qualifications:

· Degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or related field preferred

· Experience teaching art or working with preschool-aged children preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

· Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices

· Creativity and enthusiasm for introducing young children to the arts

· Ability to meet all state licensing requirements and background checks
